The Raptors are on night two of a back to back tonight as they welcome Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns to town.
The Raptor is getting ready to welcome back his buddy tonight as the Phoenix Suns — and Devin Booker — will be in town. The Toronto Raptors will be on night two of a back to back after playing last night in Brooklyn. Toronto is now 8-10 on the season and could use a win, but the Phoenix Suns are also on a seven game winning streak.
After obtaining Kevin Durant in a trade last season from the Brooklyn Nets, the Suns have their eyes on a championship run. They are 11-6 on their season and sit fourth in the Western conference. The Raptors on the other hand sit 11th in the Eastern Conference and lost last night’s game in Brooklyn after having the lead at multiple points in the game.
Though the Raptors defence has been performing okay, it’s their offence that has been the point of contention for most people. Whether it’s the low free throw shooting, poor three point shooting, or just general lack of cohesion on the court from the team at points, the offence has been quiet choppy so far this season.
While there are many good things happening for the Raptors — Scottie Barnes development, Flynn playing well, Anunoby being great — it’s hard to appreciate those things when the team is losing close games.
After being labelled as questionable on the injury report earlier, Kevin Durant will play for the Suns tonight.
