The Toronto Raptors are waiving big man Bruno Fernando. This move happens before Fernando’s $2.1 million contract would have become fully guaranteed by the end of the day on Tuesday.
The Raptors are expected to keep an open roster for the time being. Toronto will cycle through some players on 10 Day contracts, as well as having roster flexibility ahead of next month’s trade deadline.
Fernando appeared in 17 games this season for Toronto. The six-year veteran averaged 3.4 points and 3.0 assists in 8.6 minutes per game.
