Stay tuned for updated news about the Toronto Raptors ahead of the 2025 NBA Trade Deadline.
As we approach the 2025 NBA Trade Deadline, this will be an ongoing updates page for Toronto Raptors news. We will update on news regarding teams the Raptors have been rumored to be in talks with.

24 Hours left
In Marc Stein’s latest, he reported that the New Orleans Pelicans were still in talks with both the Atlanta Hawks and Toronto Raptors in regards to Brandon Ingram:
“There would seem to be a realistic pathway for Toronto to match the bulk of Ingram’s salary with Bruce Brown’s expiring $23 million salary, but the Raptors and Pelicans have discussed various scenarios for Ingram.” – Marc Stein
He also mentions that the Pelicans are interesting in draft compensation for Ingram… which could be interesting given the Raptors need that draft compensation for themselves. At least that’s what one would think.
The bulk of Stein’s 24 hour update was about Kevin Durant not wanting to be traded from the Phoenix Suns. There are rumours flying about Durant being traded to the Golden State Warriors. Yet, apparently he would rather stay in the Valley than return to the Bay.
That news could affect the Raptors as well, given they are apparently involved in talks with the Warriors, Sun, and Heat about being a potential extra team in these trade scenarios. Obviously Jimmy Butler is still hoping to be traded in the next 24 hours, and Toronto could be a team that gets involved in some capacity as a third/fourth team in a big trade involving Butler, Durant, and maybe even more.
None of this is really news in regards to Toronto’s involvement. Stein has been reporting Toronto’s interest in Ingram for the last week or so, and the idea that the Raptors could be involved in the Butler move has been a possibility for longer.
Stay tuned to this page as we update it until Toronto makes moves.
