Kansas basketball star Gradey Dick was selected by the Toronto Raptors with the No. 13 overall pick in last night’s draft.
Dick’s dream of walking across the stage and shaking hands with commissioner Adam Silver was realized last night — but now he has a more Toronto-specific dream to accomplish.
During an interview with Taylor Rooks, Dick said he wants to get Drake — an international music superstar and Raptors superfan — to wear his jersey.
“I need Drake to wear my jersey. That’s the priority!” he said.

Dick, a 6-foot-8 wing scorer, is thought of as the best shooter from this year’s draft class. If the one-and-done Jayhawk can provide the Raptors with an influx of scoring in his rookie season, Drake very well could be rocking a “Dick” jersey in his next music video.
