After nine years serving as prime minister, Justin Trudeau emerged Monday from Rideau Hall to let Canadians know that he would be proroguing Parliament until March 24, at which time he will resign and be replaced by a new Liberal leader. Trudeau was vaulted into power in 2015, campaigned on many promises, a good deal unfulfilled. Born into the fame and adoration of his père Trudeau’s legacy, he crafted an image of himself as a great and wonderful leader.
