NHL Predictions
Ottawa Senators vs Toronto Maple Leafs
Head-to-Head: Senators 0-0 Maple Leafs
TV: Sportsnet; ESPN+
Our featured game of NHL predictions has the Senators trying to get on track against the rival Maple Leafs. Ottawa knows time may be running out for coach D.J. Smith, so that means time to win hockey games. The Senators will likely start Joonas Korpisalo, but always check social media before locking in a fantasy starter. Brady Tkachuk leads in goals with eight while Tim Stutzle has nine assists.
Ilya Samsonov will likely get the call between the pipes for the Leafs in this own. Auston Matthews has 13 goals, which is more than what the San Jose Sharks had before Tuesday’s game. Mitch Marner has 12 assists to lead the club. Toronto scores plenty of goals, but is 26th in goals allowed going into Tuesday night.
There’s nothing more worrisome than a team that feels cornered, but the Leafs know how big this game is.
Prediction: Maple Leafs win 5-3.
Florida Panthers vs Washington Capitals
Head-to-Head: Panthers 0-0 Capitals
TV: Max; TNT
The Florida Panthers take on the Washington Capitals in this game. Sergei Bobrovsky is the projected starter for the Panthers, who have wins in three of the last five games. The Panthers are 12th in goals against, but have struggled on both ends of special teams. Sam Reinhart leads the team in goals while Matthew Tkachuk is tops in assists.
Washington has wins in four of its last five and will likely go with Charlie Lindgren in between the pipes. Dylan Strome has been a bright spot early on for the Capitals, who have steadied themselves. Washington is still second-to-last with 19 coming into Tuesday night’s action. However, the team has been good at playing defence.
Both teams are coming off bad starts and are playing better, but Florida has just a little more offensive pop.
Prediction: Panthers win 4-2.
Los Angeles Kings vs Vegas Golden Knights
Head-to-Head: Kings 0-1 Golden Knights
TV: TNT; Max
Our last game of NHL predictions has the Los Angeles Kings taking on the Vegas Golden Knights. Vegas came away with a 4-3 shootout win in the first meeting of the season. Cam Talbot will likely draw in for the Kings in this game. Trevor Moore leads in goals with six while Kevin Fiala has 11 assists.
Logan Thompson is the current projected starter for the Golden Knights, who are trying to rebound from their first regulation loss of the season. William Karlsson leads in goals (6) and assists (9) for 15 points. Vegas is top five in goals for and goals against. The Knights are also sixth on the penalty kill.
This should be a good one, but Vegas will rebound with the victory.
Prediction: Golden Knights win 5-3.
