That game was fun last night; we haven’t had nearly enough fun games this season.
Joey Loperfido is on a bit of a hot streak. In his last eight games he’s hitting .435/.480/.913 with a double, two triples, and a home run. The usual small sample size warnings, but they seem to have simplified his swing some.
Addison Barger hasn’t had as good a time of it. In August, he hit .149/.184/.362. He has been used against lefty pitchers a lot.
You’d almost think there should be rules against this, but it is far too fun not to happen:
When this game resumes on Monday, Danny Jansen, who was AT the plate for the Blue Jays when the game was suspended, will be BEHIND the plate for the Red Sox while a pinch-hitter takes over his PA…making him the first player in MLB history to play for both teams in the same game pic.twitter.com/Y0UMVakx6S

Old friend alert:
The Giants have signed IF Cavan Biggio to a minor league contract. He will report to Triple-A Sacramento.

I had never heard of this player before today.
Walkoff grand slam is the way Shohei Ohtani joins the 40-40 club. Nice entrance!

Today’s lineup. Springer gets a day off. Clement bats leadoff. Loperfido moves up a couple of spots, and Wagner gets a day off.
