Game 6 With the Dodgers up 3-2. I’m cheering for the Mets, mostly because Tom_M and I decided we’d go to the bar to watch Monday’s game, so I’d like there to be a Monday game.
Today’s starters:
Dodgers: Landon Knack (3-5, 3.65 in 15 games, 12 starts). He’s a rookie RHP. He’s pitched 3 innings of relief in the playoffs, one scoreless inning and one outing where he gave up 6 earned in 2 innings.
Mets: Sean Manaea (12-6, 3.47 in 32 starts). He’s started three games in the playoffs and, amazingly, has thrown 5, 7 and 5 innings in the games, with 5 earned, 11 hits, 6 walks, with 17 strikeouts.
i’ll admit, the old man in me hates that starters aren’t pitching more than 2 or 3 innings per game.
Tonight’s lineups:
And I suppose we should congratulate the Yankees for making it to the World Series. They might be tough to beat, with Stanton remembering how to play.
