Monday Game One GameThread: Jays @ Red Sox

So, we have the continuation of a game from June 26th.

Yesterday Kevin Gausman picked up his 100th career 100. 36 of them have come with the Blue Jays.

Congratulations Kevin.

Today, Danny Jansen will make MLB history by being the first player to play for both teams in one game. It is kind of cool. I hope the loss comes from playing for the Red Sox.

They played the first inning. We are starting the game in the top of the second, with one out, with Davis Schneider on first base. There is one strike on Jansen (now Varsho).

The Jays lineup:

• Vlad moves to third base from first.
• Horwitz moves from second to first.
• Brian Serven moves into the no-longer leadoff spot, replacing Bo in the order.
• Addison Barger plays DH, batting fourth, in place of Justin Turner (the DH spot can not move in the order. Turner was DH, batting fourth, whoever came into the game as DH has to stay in the fourth spot).
• Daulton Varsho takes Jansen’s spot in the batting order, playing center.
• Will Wagner takes IKF’s spot in the order, playing second base.
• Leo Jimenez takes Kevin Kiermaier’s spot in the order, playing short.
• Ryan Burr takes over for Yariel Rodriguez pitching. Ryan Yarbrough will likely get the bulk of the 0innings.

The Red Sox lineup for the restart:

• Nick Pivetta takes over to pitch, with one out and the runner on first.
• Jansen moves into the seventh spot in the order, taking Enmanuel Valdez spot in the order and Reese McGuire’s spot at catcher.
• Triston Casas hits eighth, playing first base, taking Dominic Smith’s spot in the order and in the field.
• Ceddanne Rafaela hits ninth, playing short, taking McGuire’s spot in the order.
• David Hamilton moves from short to second.
