The Blue Jays affiliates didn’t win a whole lot on Wednesday.
Toronto’s rookie league teams had the day off, meaning that just the four “A” affiliate teams were in action, with three teams losing and one team winning.
Let’s take a look at the latest Minor League Report!
Buffalo fell 3-1
After a great start to their season, the Buffalo Bisons are just one game above .500 as they lost 3-1 to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs on Wednesday to bring their record to 30-29.
Riley Tirotta was the team’s player of the game, as he had two of the four hits including his first home run as a Bison. Spencer Horwitz had two walks and hit his second triple of the season, tying him for 11th in the International League, while Nathan Lukes hit a single and walked once.

Pitching was solid for the Bisons though, as Brandon Eisert started the game, giving up an earned run and two walks, but striking out three in his inning of work. Rehabbing big leaguer Yariel Rodríguez had the bulk of the innings, finishing with a line of 3 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 4 K to bring his season ERA to 0.68.

Hayden Juenger allowed an earned run and was tagged with the loss, but struck out three in an inning and two thirds of work. Mason Fluharty struck out a batter and gave up an earned run in an inning and a third, while Hagen Danner pitched a clean inning with a strikeout.
New Hampshire blown out
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats have been in a holding pattern as of late, winning a game, losing a game, winning a game, and so on and so forth. Wednesday saw them lose 9-1 to the Erie SeaWolves, bringing their record to 24-29.
Alex De Jesus had two singles and is slashing .289/.361/.474 with five homers for a 136 wRC+ since May 4 after a horrendous start where he had a 54 wRC+ in his first month. Other Fisher Cats with a hit in this game were Josh Kasevich, Rainer Nuñez, Andres Sosa, and Ryan McCarty, all of which were singles.
Michael Dominguez had a tough outing, finishing with a line of 1.2 IP, 3 H, 6 ER, 5 BB, 0 K with two home runs given up to bring his season ERA to 4.76. Easily his worst start in a long time. Abdiel Mendoza pitched 3.1 innings of scoreless baseball with a walk and a strikeout. Adrián Hernández also had a rough outing, giving up three earned runs in two innings pitched. Juan Nunez struck out a batter in a clean inning of work.
Vancouver won the only game
Of the four teams in action in the Blue Jays system, the Vancouver Canadians were the only team to win, as they blew out the Everett AquaSox 13-3 to move to 24-24.
Despite the high scoring game, Jace Bohrofen was the only player to hit a home run, his third of the season. Dasan Brown hit the game’s only other two extra-base hits, both doubles. He was one of three players with a multi-hit game, as Glenn Santiago hit two singles and Jamari Baylor hit three singles.

Other players with a hit were Nick Goodwin, Jeffrey Wehler, Estiven Machado, and Jackson Hornung, who walked twice, as did the returning Peyton Williams.
Pat Gallagher made the start for the Canadians, finishing with a line of 5 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 7 K with a home run given up to bring his season ERA to 4.35. Chay Yeager struck out two and allowed a walk and a hit in two innings of work, while Josh Mollerus struck out a batter in a scoreless inning. Alex Almalfi struck out three in his inning of work, but allowed an earned run.
Dunedin lost a low-scoring affair
Like the Vancouver Canadians, the Dunedin Blue Jays seemingly can’t get above .500, as they lost 3-2 to the Palm Beach Cardinals, bringing their record to 26-27.
Two of the six hits on the day for the D-Jays were doubles, as Cristian Feliz hit his eighth double of the season, while Nicolas Deschamps hit his second double, as well as a single. Other players with a single were Manuel Beltre, Marcos De La Rosa, and Tucker Toman, who had two walks as well.
Juaron Watts-Brown made the start for the D-Jays, and finished with a line of 6 IP, 5 H, 1 ER (3 R), 0 BB, 5 K to bring his season ERA to 3.43. The rehabbing T.J. Brock struck out two in a clean inning of work, while Irv Carter allowed a hit and a walk, but had a scoreless inning.
