The Minor League Report is back!
On Wednesday, four of the five affiliates were in action, as all “A” level affiliates played, while the Dominican Summer League Jays had the day off.
Let’s see how they did in the latest Minor League Report.
Buffalo’s losing streak hit three games
The Buffalo Bisons’ second-half struggles continued, as they fell 3-1 to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders, moving their second-half record to 17-24. This is the second worst record in the International League.
Recently demoted Luis De Los Santos hit his fifth home run of the season off former Blue Jay, Thomas Pannone, while Damiano Palmegiani hit a double and Alan Roden hit a triple. Riley Tirotta had a two hit performance and Josh Kasevich hit a single. In total, the team struck out 15 times.

James Kaprielian made the start for the Bisons, finishing with a line of 5 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 4 BB, 5 K to bring his season ERA to 5.90. Andrew Bash struck out two in two innings of work, while Hagen Danner pitched for the first time with the Bisons since early June, striking out a batter and giving up an unearned run in two thirds of an inning. José Cuas pitched a third of an inning with a strikeout.
Charles McAdoo hit a home run in his second consecutive game
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats are also on a three-game losing streak, falling 5-4 to the Reading Fightin Phils to bring their second-half record to 13-25.
There was some good news though, as Charles McAdoo hit his second home run in as many days for the Fisher Cats. It’s already looking like a good acquisition for the team, as they acquired him from the Pirates for Isiah Kiner-Falefa. Dasan Brown hit his third double at the level in just six games, while Michael Turocni also had a double.

Alex De Jesus had a three-hit performance, while Andrés Sosa hit two singles. Ryan McCarty, Gabriel Martinez, and RJ Schreck all had a single as well.
Hunter Gregory started the game for the Fisher Cats, finishing with a line of 2.1 IP, 4 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 3 K to bring his season ERA to 5.31. Nate Garkow pitched two thirds of an inning with a strikeout, while Dahian Santos struck out three in three innings of work. Ryan Jennings pitched an inning with two hits and an unearned run, while CJ Van Eyk pitched an inning with two strikeouts.
Vancouver shutout
On Wednesday, the Vancouver Canadians fell 3-0 to Spokane, dropping them to three games behind the second-half leaders of the Northwest League with a 26-18 record. However, Spokane won the first-half, meaning that Vancouver has a one-game lead over the Hillsboro Hops in the overall standings, which will determine who faces Spokane in the championship if Spokane wins both halves.
The Canadians didn’t have any extra-base hits, but Peyton Williams had two singles, while Jackson Hornung, Jace Bohrofen, Nick Goodwin, Je’Von Ward and Jay Harry each had a single. Bohrofen walked twice as well, while Hornung, Cutter Coffey, and Ward each walked once.

Juaron Watts-Brown started the game for the Canadians and had a great start, finishing with a line of 6 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 8 K to bring his season ERA to 5.70. Sadly, he was tagged with the loss. Grayson Thurman struck out three and allowed an earned run in his inning of work, while Kai Peterson gave up an earned run and struck out two in his inning of work.
Dunedin move to .500 with a win
The only affiliate team to win a game on Wednesday was the Dunedin Blue Jays, as they defeated the Bradenton Marauders 7-4 to bring their second-half record to 21-21. Still, they are seven games behind the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels, well out of the race.
Arjun Nimmala has a legitimate chance at being the Blue Jays’ top prospect, and he hit his 13th home run of the season in Single-A, as well as his 13th double and a single in a three-hit performance. Aaron Parker hit his second professional home run as well.
Dear New Pitcher,
Welcome to the ballgame.
Sincerely,

Carter Cunningham had a two-hit performance with a walk, while Eddie Micheletti Jr., Manuel Beltre, Braden Barry, and J.R. Freethy hit singles.
Starting the game for the D-Jays was Cristopher Castro, who finished with a line of 3 IP, 3 H, 1 ER (2 R), 2 BB, 5 K to bring his season ERA to 8.31. Christian Mracna made his professional debut, walking two batters and striking out one in his inning of work. Jay Schueler gave up two earned runs in an inning of work.
Colby Martin picked up the win, giving up two walks and a hit in his inning of work, but not allowing a run. Yondrei Rojas struck out six in three clean innings for his fifth save of the season.
