Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Toronto Blue Jays fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
The Jays didn’t sign Vladimir Guerrero, which upset me a lot (this is Tom, not Tom_M; I know it is confusing. I told Tom_M he should change his name). I believe the Jays should have done whatever was necessary to get his name on a contract.
Between this and the Myles Straw trade, it is the first time I’ve thought the team needs new management. They really can’t let Vlad leave, but they are. They must trade him; we all know they won’t get near his value.
Anyway, SB Nation Reacts asked if there was a question they should ask Jays fans, and I figured I should see if other Jays fans feel the same way I do. So here we are.
They also want to know where you think the Jays will finish this season. I’m curious about that one, too. I could see them finishing anywhere from first to fifth. I can see. First is more of a stretch, but if Bo and Vlad come into the season thinking this is my contract year, let’s get some bucks and carry the team. But, just as likely, the team could get off to a bad start, trade away everyone who even looks like a major leaguer and finish south of 50 wins.
Anyway, vote, and we will see the results next week.
Tom is coming to you from the beautiful city of Cape Town, where he tried several kinds of South African wines (don’t worry, just a taste of each, unless they were particularly good). We also took a gondola ride up to the top of Table Mountain.
